*When selecting a bodyboard, stand the board on its tail. It should come up to roughly within an inch of your belly button. If you ride small waves, the board should be an inch above the bellybutton. If you ride big waves, an inch below. When selecting a bodyboard, you should be able to hold the board comfortably under your arm and against your side without much slack between your armpit and the rail. Use wider board for smaller waves, narrower board for bigger waves.
