As you can imagine, each week Big 5 Sporting Goods receives hundreds of requests for donations and sponsorships. Due to the number of requests we receive, we limit our charitable contributions fundraisers and donations in the form of Big 5 Gift Cards. These gift cards can be used for raffles, auctions, prize giveaways and drawings. Unfortunately, we are not able to purchase advertising space, sponsor individuals, teams, or organizations.

Donation Criteria

  • Donation processing time is 4-6 weeks starting from when we receive the request
  • If approved, donations will be in gift card format only, with no expiration date
  • You may check the status of your request at anytime by logging into our donations portal here
  • If approved, gift cards will be sent to the address provided in the request
  • We limit donations to once yearly for all organizations

In order to provide you an answer as quickly as possible, this online request system is the only way we consider a donation. We no longer take requests at store-level, via e-mail, phone, or fax.

* Although we do not sponsor individual teams, we do have our League Loyalty program where a league/team can sign up & through the shopping of their team over a 10-day period, receives a 5% cash back reward.
