Does Big 5 Sporting Goods do donations or sponsorships?

How do I request a donation from Big 5?

Does Big 5 offer a layaway program?

Sorry, not at this time.

What if something I paid full price for goes on sale?

If a customer purchases an item in our stores, and the price of the item is then lowered within 30 days of the original purchase, the customer can return to the store during the sale period for a refund of the price difference. The customer must have a receipt of the original transaction, and the discount price must be one that is offered by Big 5 Sporting Goods, not a competitor.

How old do you have to be to work for Big 5?

Due to the sale of firearms, ammunition, and other age-restricted items in our stores, employees of Big 5 Sporting Goods must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.

I'd like to apply for a job at my local store, how do I go about doing that?

To apply for a job with Big 5 Sporting Goods, visit the location you wish to work at and speak to the manager on duty to ask for an application. You may also print an application (download PDF) from our link online. Fill it out completely, and return it to a member of management on site for review and consideration.

Does Big 5 do Federal Firearms License (FFL) Dealer Transfers?

Unfortunately at this time we do not perform FFL transfers from other retailers. However, if you are trying to order a long gun from A. Uberti, Benelli, Beretta, Franchi, Mossberg, Sako, Savage, Stoeger, or Tikka, we can try to special-order it for you and have it shipped to a store in your area. Please contact your local store with the model number of the specific firearm you are interested in, and we will check with our vendors to get a price and availability quote for you.

Does Big 5 do sporting arms Private Party Transfers (PPT)?

Yes, in California, our stores can process a Private Party Transfer for long guns. We do NOT do any transfers of handguns in our stores.

How do I check the balance of my Big 5 Sporting Goods Gift Card?

Go to any Big 5 Sporting Good location and bring your gift card and an associate can help you.
